Get to know us a little better
Heartland Childcare Center and its staff are dedicated to creating a warm, loving atmosphere in which each child can develop physically, socially, intellectually and emotionally through a variety of creative experiences. Our curriculum is Christian based while meeting all of the Early Learning Content Standards for preschoolers as established by the Ohio Department of Education. In addition, the children engage in age appropriate activities in the areas of music, art, drama and many other learning areas. All of our activities integrate Christian values. Each child will “graduate” from our program socially and academically ready to start kindergarten.
This facility is licensed to operate legally by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. The license is posted in the hallway by the cubbies. The law and rules governing child day care programs and all licensing records are available for review. The Department has a toll free number and it may be used to report a suspected violation by the Center. (1-800-282-1190)
Heartland is open from 6:45am until 6:00pm, Monday thru Friday, 12 months a year. All children must be escorted into the building and the classroom so the teacher sees both the parent and the child. The parent or authorized escort must come into the classroom to pick up the child. No child will be released to any person who is not listed as an authorized escort on the registration form, unless a note dated and signed by the parent is presented to the teacher.
Please try to plan your child’s arrival for before 9:00am. After that time, it can be disruptive to the rest of the class.
Please call the center if your child will not be in on any day so the teacher can plan accordingly.

A child is considered to be enrolled at the center only after the Director confirms availability of space, the registration fee has been received and the required documents are on file. ANY change to the enrollment information must be communicated to the Director immediately so current information is ALWAYS on file. A medical form signed by a physician is required to be on file before the child’s first day. The medical form must be updated every 12 months.
